MPH-303 :Regional Perspectives of Indian Economic Development
(MPH-303)

Given the continental proportions of India, with vast variations in economic performance regional balance has been one of the professed goals of policy makers in India. This course intends to familiarise students with the debates and issues relating to regional development. It takes the students from the institutional basis for regional disparity in India, starting from colonial land relations. The course also would equip the students with analytical tools and theoretical understanding to take up informed research on issues of regional development.
